Close up of our special “Deluxe” hinge

Our D.S. “Deluxe” hinge is a real feat of engineering
To achieve a careful balance of 18K spring power, thickness and length to have it return to position “0” upon closing.

All these techniques are realized with custom alloys not available in the market place.

The 18K spring is what keeps the latch pressing down on that bar to make it so reliable, and vibration proof to keep it secure so you don’t loose your ring under all conditions. Even when clapping your hands.

  Lock 4
You can see the 18K spring in full action, this shows it slipping over the .750 mm wire rod with a full bite of 1.250 mm to have full security with the deep bite.

A rod was placed to show how much bite our latch has and why it is so powerful.

This is a well thought out detail that most don’t see or understand.
This is one of our little secrets that make our PFF so secure.

The curved slot in the latch is designed to have progressive bite as the ring is stressed. The latch releases that bite on the bar as you lift the latch the angle of the slot action changes to a neutral bite for lift off.

The spring keeps the latch in that progressive biting position for safety while you are wearing the PFF Clasp.
