SuperFit internal patent papers refer to it as inadvertent openings. That is caused by clapping your hands or hitting a hard surface popping the ring open. SuperFit doesn’t want you to see this, and doesn’t want you to know it!

The rings do not stay closed (Lesson learned) and the “mechanism??” (based on loose leaf paper rings from school supplies) continually opens. This failure causes the ring to fall off one’s finger at any given time (Lesson learned) and without warning!!
